Gone

1

She told me she love me
And I had to ask why
Because I couldn’t see why
She didn’t see beyond the lies
That was in my eyes
For all along I wanted
To get between her tights
Make like dynamite and
Blow her mind

2

She told me she love me
And I had to ask why
Because I couldn’t see why
To be by my side
When I operate sometime
Like I might smile sometime
Be loving sometime
Be accommodating sometime
Be patient sometime
Be helpful sometime
Be her man sometime

3

She told me she love me
And I had to ask why
Because I couldn’t see
Strength
Thoughtfulness
Courtesy
Tenderness
Spontaneity
Guidance
Beauty
knowledge
Which she said, represented me

4

She told me she love me
And I couldn’t believe
For she was an African queen
Of the highest esteem
Choosing to give her heart to me
And I wasn’t please
For I wanted all that my eyes could see
I seek other pastures green
Making her heart grieve
For all she wanted was me

5

She told me she loved me
But her heart needed peace
Her love is no more for me
For there was too much pieces
To, retrieve.
Yet she told me she love me.
