Ivana Simone was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She states, "I grew up in the inner city of Miami, where there was tons of mischief to get into. I used writing as my way to escape and stay out of the neighborhood troubles. In time writing became my one way to not only escape but to express that which I felt I could not say. Back then I wrote to escape and express, but today I write to inspire, encourage, and lift up. I hope that my work does all those things for you and more."
