My Star Gate

by Hussein

Black Queen your eyes reflect our collective history
our past to me is no longer a mystery

i am transported ten thousand years
faster than newborn can shed tears

    back when we were Kemetic
and the pace of lives was so not frenetic

we were a people of regal and noble bearing
and our hearts were filled with caring

a race tan, strong and proud
without a veil of self-hate worn like a shroud

our great (x 200) grandparents built the great pyramid
it is a shame how far we have backslid

it is time for in us the sleeping giant to awake
and put an end to this genocide for heaven sake

we must remember our past glory
the old must teach the young our true story
