The show Empire gives Black Actors work
but, the main character is a murderous jerk
 
Cookie is not a villain
but, even she is involved in a killin'
 
I understand  that the characters are fictional
and nobody wants to watch a series that's dull
 
I worry about the images we show to our youth
every week they see our people as  immoral and uncouth
 
Finally, is Fox just doing this to make more dough
Or, are they using my folks as another modern-day minstrel show?
