My son turned 21 today, his brother is 20 and yet another 19.
That's quite a feat in today's society of black on black crime,
crimes against humanity, crimes against children.
We are living in the dispensation of grace and the era of criminals.
It's not just the poor and disenfranchised that are raping and pillaging,
we live in the time of the corporate pirate.
They steal your ability to provide for your family,
dupe you into believing their company motto and then trample your dreams.
Before you know it you've been down-sized, kicked-a-side and ostracized.
I've raised 3 sons and I pray daily that they for disappointment
not become victims of the street but,
how do we guard them against racial injustice,
crooked cops, undercover brothers, HIV/AIDS epidemic,
and color wars among their own.
Drugs, alcoholism, envy and spite.
Cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity
and the list goes on and on,
unemployment, underemployment and God forbid deployment.
I worry this worl they are trying to survive in has me worried.
An you gon with your nonchalant attitude .
No go on I don't want a hug.
I want to rant and rave, before I go to my grave.
I will speak my mind.
My son he turned 21 today.
He was born July 6th 1984
1:20 a.m.
Weighing 7lbs 12 oz
21" long and he turned 21 today.
