I am in awe of the number
     there are quite a few
Speaking for tomorrow
     reminiscing of yesterday
Voices of our people
     proudly on display
Spoken from a truth
     that only we can know
Lyrically poetic
     as only we can flow
Words of knowledge
     words of wisdom
          words of self so sweet
Words of love
     words of passion
          words that permeate concrete
Poets of the past, I do appreciate
     for they spoke of their time and state
But I  profess, I must confess
     I've longed for something fresh
And TimBookTu has allowed me to acquire
     a new age of poets, I can admire
