Today I wear my life on my sleeve,
and it's flowing ever so patiently in the breeze
trailing behind me as I ascend forward
keeping me busy with this or that
A smile one day
A frown the next
Absurd thoughts
followed by deep ponderings.....About Self 

Today I cast aside altered states of consciousness,
and they lie ever so randomly in yesterday's mess
scattered for one reason or another
while I simplify my beliefs,
and enhance my understandings.....Of Self 

Today I stopped guessing
quit questioning,
and grasped life
with acceptance of the unknown,
and reflections on the past.....Through Self 

Today everything was clear
Void of fear,
I transcended time
was amplified in a cacophony of rhythm
visualized myself escaping unbound
found harmony,
and peace...In Self 

Today I have evolved
far beyond life's limitations,
and adapted to its diversity
possessed its spirit,
and captured its essence
I've reflected about self
I breathe 'cause of self'
I believe in self
I am acknowledged through self
and I have truth
and freedom
Within.....Self
