No Man's Woman Am I

by Trina Williams-Emigh

No man's woman am I
Speaking from an expanse,
that spreads farther than inbetween my thighs
Seldom heard,
Yet always speaking
No rightful place,
But ever seeking
Screaming at the top of my voice
Because of dealing with nonsense,
That I've no other choice
For of love, man professes
Yet it is my body over which he obsesses
So I'm treated as if a possession
To feed the male egos obsession
But no man's woman am I
NO man's WOMAN AM I
