Eden Bryant is a writer living and working in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She devotes time to encouraging new poets to reach their professional writing best as she strives to do the same. She says "I believe that for African American writers whose work sees the light of day, so are we blessed as a people. The way to encourage young people to read is to produce materials that they find meaningful and relevant. It is my prayer that illiteracy is stomped out altogether." She has a collection of poetry entitled A Sistah's Story-Poetry.
