Racial Harmony

by Juan Antonio Cordova

                   ~1~
Racial harmony is all I ask,
To live in peace with all mankind;
Living the legacy once instilled by King;
To see beyond a man’s black skin.

                   ~2~
Racial harmony is all I ask,
To judge man’s character and not his face;
For in God’s world we’re all the same.

                   ~3~
Racial harmony is all I ask,
To be like children which can't discern;
Their friend complections are not a pain.

                   ~4~
Racial harmony is all I ask,
To see my children throughout our shores
Proclaiming freedom to all they can.
