From the day we are born we start to become wise.

Right from the moment a baby first touches fire.

And, through each wise step we learn what not to do.

Driven through each experience with a firsthand view.

See what is out in front and take all of it in.

It will be needed later, I guarantee you, my friend.

We are driven by the things we all have seen and done.

Noting how we survived, to pass along to our sons.

That's all that wisdom is.  It's just giving something back.

It's giving our next generation some on-the-job facts.

Now, whether they want to listen doesn't matter in the end.

Unless they're truly driven, the wisdom won't sink in.
