C Michelle Atkins has been through many storms in her life. Her parents divorced when she was very young. She was in emotionally and physically abusive marriages, but through it all she has triumphed.

Ms. Atkins is a strong woman of God. She has been an educator for more than 20 years. She is a twice divorced mother of 6, and grandmother of 7 beautiful grandchildren. C Michelle has self published two books. The first book is a poetry book about her life, and the second is an informational/tell-all relationship book. She is working on another poetry book and a children's book, both expected to be published by the end of this year. C Michelle (aka The Purple Poet) resides in a suburb of Atlanta, GA with her 3 youngest children.
