Cut From The Same

by Catherine Butterfly

Sugar and spice and everything nice is the way that old poem describe them. But boys are made of dirt and snails and puppy dog tails, they say. Little girls are thought of as nice little angels, while boys are pictured as little demons.

Don't you believe it. There is not the slightest difference between that old nature of a boy and that of a girl. Both are selfish and mean and capable of terrible evil. To be sure, they express the evil in different ways, but it all stems from an identical nature. Both require firm discipline.

A girl may not go storming from the house, slamming the door behind her, but she knows how to pout and make life miserable for everyone around her.
