They ask why I always write so black
You Christian you can’t say things like that
You’re too militant what are you trying to say
Brother I’m just yielding to the Holy Spirit
I tried to write other stuff for some reason 
I can only write things that will encourage us to look deeper inside
I’ve experienced racism first hand and refuse to turn my head
Let me say I believe all men are created equal 
Unfortunately the society we live in does not honor what it preaches
Instead all over the world people of color are oppressed
Yes I’m aware that’s not everybody meaning people of color
I can’t write things that will reflect us in a negative image
Saying things that hurt us as a people I rather say things that make us think
Even if you don’t agree with everything I say
I only write what I see as a young black man God rescued me from self destruction
Mr. Militant man you might have a point except I love all God's people
I have a favorite saying it is what it is you can’t take anything from the truth
So let’s pray that God teach us how to love each other in truth
