As my brother and I set out on our journey
Heading towards our destiny expecting to do great things
Being taught by SEIU and equipped with tools to be better Delegates
I could see our presence made a difference 
fighting for justice for the least of those
Never wavering or compromising our position standing firm
Challenging our opponents to change their strategy
What’s so wonderful about this journey 
is Whali is a Muslim and I’m a Christian
Yet we work great together despite what the world leaders say

When Whali walked in a room Just by his size he demands respect
Just sit down five minutes with this brother 
he could teach you some life lessons
To keep you from falling into some trap 
what an incredible journey this brothers life has been
God has truly placed him in my path to learn and listen
He’s the elder brother passing down wisdom to the younger brother
I’m thankful that God and only God alone connected our paths
My prayer this night is through God's grace 
he would continue to protect and Bless my brother
Grant him the desires of his heart 
that every good and perfect gift comes from above
