(Heard) Thru the Window
(Spencer Tate the Old Soul, Age 8)

by B.J. Burgins

Wonder where them motorcycles rare up to zoom off to- the girls thinks them guys real cool wonder why the neighbors fuss & fight after throwing a party and had fun all night wonder why that guy with the silly walk always talk to hisself and suck his thumb, Ma say he ain't too bright. When I get big I'ma get a candy blue Caddy like Zach, or a pearl white drop like Laney, maybe a clean Regal like Uncle Dray with the wood grain insides & a girl that look like Tasha across the street, light skin with a gold in her mouth, blonde hair, fine. I wonder why Terrance and nem break them glasses on the curb & kick 'em in the sewer before they get home....
