was stronger than  my resistance.

You saw and pursued
and I dodged and refused
but no was not acceptable for you,
and never wasn't an option.

I reinforced my wall of avoidance
and you still found a way to break it down.
I cowered in shame,
you showed me understanding.

I eluded you with false directions,
and you chose a new path
and found me.

I created a barrier
from fear and lonliness.
You destroyed it,
and replaced it 
with a bridge of pure friendahip.

I tried to hate you
out of fear of loving you
but you cured me with patience
and sincerity.

I battled the adversary
that I created,
but you rescued me from my worst enemy,
me.

I'm finally tired of avoiding you,
tired of refusing true feelings,
tired of running from you,
instead of running to you.
