Un-Forgotten Jewels

by B.T. Bonner

You may have thought I forgot about you
but just like thought moves through consciousness
you.....still.......travel through my mind sometimes
I wonder if she still writes poetic words
on the doorstep of her soul
waiting for me to step inside
just for a virtual peek of her Cheeky Conscious
she knows what I mean
or maybe it explains why I tie my arms to her words
breath slow and let her quiet voice tame me
my lioness...
...afrosoulstress
...Oshun
Nubian queen of my relief
in place of my blunted mondays
and tuesdays and so on and so it goes on
till I leave this place of hate and race
take a trip to the Ghana and see for myself
what was done to me and mine
and her and hers

you may have thought that I forgot about you
but just like thought moves through consciousness
you.....still.......travel through my mind sometimes
her spoken sensuality
is the sweaty ingredient of sexy
like the nectar of a virgin tongue
men shiver
in her words
drop dimes at her command
and lie helpless and naked before her
dark and mysterious presence
patience in her tone
like a melodic whisper atop of Kush mountains
in a land where afroqueens dance
where raindrops fall
where Earth moves
and wind blows
water high wading
earth equating
....and fading in and out of breath
I read her words over a cold shower
then take my own lover who waits patiently
obediently for me
is that wrong? if so who's being done the injustice?
her for wanting me
or me for wanting to see you in her
