Invisible Man

by B.T. Bonner

Everywhere I walk
I see your face
it's in the sandwich shop
and the neighborhood 7-11
images of a crooked smile
plastered among the rubble
on a crowded city street
it looms over our heads
and drops down
into our homes
and our hearts
in digital clarity...
your anger
your hate
your need to destroy lives
without questions
why's of only twisted logic
and holy bullshit talk
broadcasted live
from an lsreal satellite beam
manipulating minds
and modern day machines
with an Eastern vision
of a nightmarish dream
while America screamed
at ground zero
your traceless face
exploded across the world
sending American's across borders
only boys and girls
of all colors, shapes and size
pulled from their loved ones
and pushed to their demise
to fight you
the invisible man
and symbol of our way of life
turned inside out
and rearranged
in the destiny
you bless and manifest
our tomorrow's now and is
forever changed
from the fury and wrath
of our own American planes
turned insane
by flight patterns we trained
and in the end
the turbulence of death remained
but through your hate
we are...
given a second chance
to fight against you
given a second chance
to live despite you
on a $40 billion dollar plan
to annihilate you
damn it's expensive to fight you
and when we get hi too
the Taliban won't hide you
and your people will cry too
and casualties will die too
and no light will shine through
does any of this sound right to you?
