restless and waiting
time running its course
in a waveless pool of emotion
a chime of the wall clock
beats against my eardrum
daring me to leave the bed
tempting me to torture myself

Soloflex infomercials
Bing Cherries
and another cup of Green Tea
to complete the Insomnia process
much like the game of life
we travel inside of a larger cup
and watch tea bags drowning 1 by 1
but do not rescue them
for their lives
are dependent on our ability
the cleanse our mind of messed up thoughts
to ease our spirit back into calm
to conquer and reclaim dominion
over our lives
before we can save anything else
from drowning
