Only For Your Hand!

by Gregory Battle

May I confess my delicate dove,
As surely as heaven is above,
	Only for your hand,
	Would the stars and lightning I command;
	Lady, only for your hand
Would I get the gumption to become a better man!
	Only for your hand
Would I let my spirit soar to a stratosphere
	Where it’s never gone before.
	Only for your hand,
Would I climb those looming mountains
And walk across scorching desert sand.
	Only for your hand,
Would I become a warrior and conquer so much.
For I cannot live; I cannot live
	Without its gentle touch!
And each gentle rubbing is a moment of ecstasy supreme.
	Baby, only for your hand
Would I make our togetherness a most fulfilling dream!
	Yes, only for your hand
Would I wave a magic wand
To make a thousand castles appear,
	Since only for your hand
Would I be a Knight of Love so cavalier.
	Darling, only for your hand
	Would my heart welcome you like a parade of drums;
I declare you are the most precious angel
Glory has ever made and then some!
	Oh only for your hand
Would my deepest emotions like diamonds around you glow.
For baby you are my river of redemption
And every cloudy sky wrapped in a rainbow.
	Yes, I witness! I witness!
Only for your hand, only for your hand
Would any gathering storms I disband!
As my life seems only to have begun
When you rose upon my world like the sun.
And secretly when you shine for me,
I would worship you like a goddess,
	Oh so modest and graciously.
Yes, I’ll do anything you demand
Only for your hand, only for your hand,
For you chased away my loneliness,
And lit up my happiness like a wild concert band.
Baby you know this; you know this!
That every second I lust for your tenderness.
	Once more, may I confess:
For giving me a satisfying friendship; for being my sincere fan,
Lady, I would walk down that aisle then so proudly stand!
Only for your hand, Only for your hand!
