The World's Wilderness

by Levi James Baldwin III

I look outside myself into the...
wilderness of urban existance.
People coming and going everywhere...
some walking others needing assistance.
To the untrained eye the world outside...
looks like a civilized city.
If you've ever been in the wild where the...
animals roam, the resemblance is unpretty.
It's a jungle outside filled with predators...
hunting each other these savage bipeds.
Disguising ourselves as being better...
than the sea dwellers and the quadrapeds.
Scientists say the ability to reason...
puts man higher on the evolutionary scale.
If this was true we would be harmonious with nature...
like the oceans and killer whales.
Mans true origins remain unknown...
shrouded in ancient messeges and mystery.
One thing's for certain man is still...
an animal, just review our history.
