While You Were Gone

by Levi James Baldwin III

Soft images of you assail my senses...
Reminding me of your taste touch and sound.
My vision blurs slightly as your face...
Becomes my focus deep and profound.
I miss you more than my heart can bare...
Aching from my toes to the tip of my hair.
Your voice softer than satin petals...
As you whisper in my ear.
I may be dying in body...
but in your heart I'll always be clear.
So now I sit before you...
Giving my passed beloved praise.
Thru kisses of MaryJane leaf...
And a buttered rum induced haze.
Hoping that in the world...
Some people might understand.
Arousing slow kisses...
And satin smooth hands.
Touching upon the physical...
And making the mental expand.
From emotions older than recorded time...
The luv of a womyn and a man.
