Friends Of Color

by A.B. Rice

T'was wonderous and fair
Somewhat like sparkling snow
This blue eyed girl in her red dress
With matching gloves and big red bow.

Her hair is golden yellow
Her her eyes are deep blue
Very well dressed from the
Top to the bottoms of her shoes.

There is one other with dark skin
She is as pretty as one could be
Her skin is soft, her hair is curly
She is called Ebony.

What a lovely picture of
This black child and white
Both are so precious
In GOD's eyesight.

As I look upon the black child and
Study the white with her eyes of blue
Both are happy playing together
Without interference from me and you.
