Made of dust, I am a son of God;
though Heaven's Christ is "God's begotten!"

God, however, in His person, in Jesus Christ,
white or black,
or what color His color,
formulated me better somehow than paintings.
God, "making me" after His own image,
and in His likeness,
clothed me in "black skin...!"
Crowned my head with "an afro!"
