Batchelor

by Y. Y. Hailey

Insanity pursues ensues intrudes
on last night’s trip
Unpacking bags of worn out dirty yesterdays
Overflowing wicker basket hamper wrinkled wishes stained dreams
Brushings of cobweb forgotten fantasy fulfilling foul-play
His and Her towels daintily
distinguished dangle down
Early gifts showered surprises
sparkling silver champagne
Demolition derby proceed limousines
First class one way body and soul depart
Chains and ball 2am last call
2pm tomorrow enthralled
Brother to brother lasciviously licks lips
last looksie lou’s secret lovers day
Dancers danced pranced swayed swooned
craned neckline without pearls enemy mine
Bumbling muttering what a trip
why’d I dip on t hat bachelor tip
Studio too small to be alone with these walls I’ll be okay
After all, can’t cry right now,
it is my wedding day.
