Sad Eyes

by Willie L. Green

Hey sad eyes, why the long face
Is this world
Really that horrible a place
So tell me "B"
I cannot see
For I am blinded
By your natural beauty
With that 1,000 yard stare
As if the heavens were your shoulders
And the weight of the world rested there
Eyes of strength and untapped
Inhibitions
To ignite your passions
Has become my passion
Has become my mission
How can such beauty be?
So alone
What happened in your life?
That spiraled so wrong
How can I remove your pains?
That hurt in your eye
That is your beauty's stain
How do I make you smile?
What words do I say?
Come on girl lift your profile
Or should I be one my way
So tell me sad eyes, why the long face
Is the world you face?
Really that bad a place
