From Behind The Wall!

by Lionel C. Whitehead

I send this Message
From behind the wall!
I am here because I did fall

Just know there's a reason
They call me Boss Hog
I thought I was bad
Didn't take no mess at all.
Inside here, and Outside there
I stepped high and walked
Real tall
Not realizing I was
Headed for a fall.
Now as for my message
Alone with my blessing
You can go alone ways
I am very Hopeful some one out there
will be saved.

The world’s in a great big mess
When it comes to sin,
That's how I got inside this pen
My question is how many will win
The situation they’re in?

Smoke, dope, sex, thief and alcohol
Prisons filled with great men and women
These habits have called.
All isn’t dumb, and all don’t come from
The Ghetto by now you know
Not turning deaf ears
Landing in and out of jail
Is real hell
If not the grave
Year after year.
The need to confess
I tell you is best
Not many can pass the devils test

The problem is sin and sin isn't fair.
People sin as if they don't have a care
The sinning done to others just isn’t fair.

One drives drunk; the innocent gets killed.
Drunken driver out of control stolen
The innocent life and will.

The family’s left hurting and missing
The one that’s killed
And to pay the funeral bill
Money can not replace the one that’s killed
No matter how much money wrongful death gives.

Drinking and driving,
Smoking and doping
Things that is known to destroy,
The cold heart of the pusher
Given to our young girls and boys
When they should be out riding their bikes
And playing with their over price toys.
