The Voice

by Lionel C. Whitehead

Lying in my bunk, mind running wild
I heard a voice whisper to me I hadn't heard
In a while.
"My people will search for Me
In places they thought they never would go."
I sat up and looked around because there was
No one but me sitting in my cell at a quarter to three
"I will show both the world and My Church that
I will use the foolish things to confound the wise."
I sit up again and I rubbed my eyes.
Again I heard the voice I hadn't heard in a while.
I got up off my bunk and walked to the door
Looking down the hall but saw no one or nothing
Walking the corridor.
"It is the hour when I will by pass
The intellect and the wisdom of men
Who have never known Me that's living in sin.
And they will know that I AM God, Yes I alone
I will show them their future or show them their end
And they will know there is no God in the form of men,
There is none other than Me I AM the only God of Eternity
No matter what they do, or where they go.
They will not find any other truth."
This time I knew I wasn't just hearing things
"These are the days when the realm of prayer
Will become a living reality
These are the days when I will set My people free
All that come with honesty love and believes in me
Through Jesus Christ My son will find release."
"Do not become deceived
By the words and promises of men,
For the arms of the flesh will fail thee,
But you will be confident that I have
Made you to be overcomer's in Me"
The next morning I woke up with this great
Feeling of peace and release. As I kneeled in
Prayer I knew with Jehovah God by my side
I could overcome all the miserable things the
Beast had thrown at me.
