The Jailer

by Lionel C. Whitehead

He believes he's the chief ambassador to humanity up in here.
He believes he's the angel of annunciation, resurrection,
giving mercy when he will, vengeance and death is his revelation.
if you cross him he's whatever he wanna be if he don't like you, you
might never go free.
He's the Jailer

Never mention what he's doing or what he does by name
He's never fair game. he's a punk and he's truly insane
he's sure to come after you, if he doesn't like you,
he'll come pointing at you, pointing you out to your enemies
He's the Jailer, presiding over you, making your cell,
your hell or your paradise

It is said he sits on the left-hand side of the warden.
they tell me that he even tells him what to do.
I believe it, because I've heard and seen some of the things he's done,
the jailer is a monster with many eyes and many arms.

The legend is he's the angel of judgment who rained
death and destruction here in this Sodom and Gomorrah
as he rapes and beats straight men into submission,
placing them in terrible positions, turning them into whores,
evening scores, then throws them in cells, pimping them out
knowing darn well, they're never step out the way they went in
if they physically come out alive at all.
He's the Jailer, the hell raiser, the devil right hand man,
sitting on the right hand of the warden.

The jailer causes us to wrestled daily in this fiery furnace of hell.
so many falls on their face before him as injustice prevail
try telling him he's not the prince of justice and the fee you'll never know
until he sends for you, or comes at you to do what he does best,

You'll swear he has 50 pair of wings and 1000 innumerable eyes.
When invoked, he appears as a pillar of fire, to torture inmates by
provoking lies, sometimes he tortures until they die
but no one tells because there's too many eyes and no one wanna
experience the screaming and crying we hear throughout the night
nothing about the Jailer is right.

He believes he's the chief ambassador to humanity up in here.
He believes he's the angel of annunciation, resurrection,
giving mercy when he will, vengeance and death is his revelation.
being satisfied is his whole conversation.
A freak from his heart if he has one. Seldom does he take a holiday
I can't believe he needs the pay. I believe he lives to torment and abuse
as he's always up in here misusing and abusing some poor fool.

If crossed he's whatever he wanna be
if he don't like you, you might never go free.
He's the Jailer, a liar, a thief, a murder, a human consumer
Something you never wanna meet. And Society pays his fee.
