I Am Coming Home

by Lionel C. Whitehead

I am coming home,
Coming home one day
I don’t know when but I know
I am coming home, home one day

Lord I am here seeking
Thy saving grace and mercy;
I am coming home.

I know I am coming home.
I am coming home some day
To be with you Lord my family and friends.

Jesus, Jesus promised me
According to my belief
That if I just walk right
And talk right
And believe on Him.
I can ask anything
And it is mine.
Within his time.
But I must believe
I must believe
That it is already done.

Jesus, Jesus, Jesus
I am coming home
I am coming home
To be with you and my family
My wife, my son, my daughter
And you my Lord

My Lord I am coming home
I don’t’ know when yet
But these walls can’t contain me
The system can’t brain wash me
Because I know, that I know that Jesus
You’re here to sat me free
Because Jesus, Jesus you promised me
That if I walk right, and if I talk right
If I just believe on you
That one day I’ll be free

Jesus, I am coming home ..
It may not be today,
but Never, never more from
Thee will I stray;
Lord, I stand on Thy precious promise,
I am coming home

I am coming to be with you my Lord and family
Because Jesus, Jesus you promised me.
I tell the entire world the wonders of you
I tell everyone that I meet
Of your mercy,
Of your saving grace
And your loving embrace
And how ow, ow you gave your life for me
For them, him, her, no matter whom they be.

Jesus, Jesus I am coming home
This you promised me.
It might not be today,
But I know it’s on the way
Jesus, Jesus I coming home one day.
Jesus, I am coming home one day,

Never, never more from Thee will I stray;
Lord, I stand on Thy precious promise,
I am coming home.
One day…ay, ay
