My Woman Of Compassion

by Vivene Jones-Pruitt

Mother you are so close to me.
Even from afar.
When I am weak you replant me in your own soil.
You always pull up the bad weeds from around
me that other's may of left.
You sing to me when I need nurturing.
You stay with me when my petals fall to the ground.
You still love me when my stems are broken.
You rejuvenate my soul in the Spring.
You give me shade from the sun in the summer.
When Life is a little hard on me.
You give me water which strenghtens me.
Mother you are God's woman of virtue.
That's why I will always love you.
