What Are You Laughing At?

by Vanessa Richardson

What are you laughing at?

When you thought, I was over, done, and through.

I was only bending down to tie my shoe.

What ever you throw at me I can take.

You just threw my past at me in the form of a curb ball.

What are you laughing at?

Ha! I caught it.

You just threw my mistakes at me in the form of a speedball.

What are you laughing at?

Just as easily, I caught that too.

When you thought that I was over, done, and through.

I was only pausing to help you.

No more, laughter?

The quote comes to mind. He, who laughs last, laughs best.

I laugh not at you, boo.

But, because, I stood the test.

Be blessed.
