On Falling In Love

by Vamecia Powell

-Dedicated to my first love, you know who you are!

I never felt this way before;
when I see you some small butterflies
began to leap around in my stomach,
not the type of butterflies that you get
when your stomach is upset
but the type of butterflies you get
when you are on top of something really high,
in this case, I feel like I am on top of the world.
Your body is perfect in every way.
I like to touch your hair and make a maze with my fingers.

I never smelled such a sweet fragrance before;
when I smell your scent it reminds me
of the natural flavors of masculinity;
you do not have to wear cologne.
Almost like a rose garden,
but the garden has more than just roses.

I have never seen such a wonderful sight before.
When I see you it is like looking at an angel,
maybe because you are an angel, my angel!

I have never tasted something this good in my life.
Your lips are sweeter than any sugar cane that I have ever tasted.
They are even softer than that pillow that we rest our heads on at night.

I never heard a voice like yours before.
It is a mix of the deep Barry White
and a sweet and subtle Brian McKnight.
It is just right.

I think that without my five senses
I would still love you
because if I could not see, smell, taste, hear or feel you
I would still sense your presence around me.
And for me, that is enough. I think I am falling in love.
