i see him standing there tarred and feathered
slowly being pulled apart by angry beasts
his insides spilling out all over the red texas dirt

in the pile of entrails i see my light fading
my king is dead!!! oh, how i weep

i see him there so strong and wise
beat with the chains and whips of evil
his pride reduced with every lash
my son is broken!!! oh, how i weep

in shock i stand alone
my king is dead, my son's mind is gone
what do i do now?

i'll be good
i'll do as they say
i'll teach my child it's them he obeys
i'll shed silent tears
i'll wear a smile
copy their ways and adopt their lifestyles

i'll love their God
i'll sing their songs
i'll forget my history and where i come from

i'll keep my body strong as a mule
i'll neglect my mind
i'll be their fool

i'll turn against my king, disrespect my mother
hate my sister and offend my brother
i'll instill this deep in the seeds of the young
with every generation it will keep getting strong
and deeper
and deeper
and....

his plan worked
