My Country and I

by Twinkle

I was born in South Africa. I am African
My country has life
Its trees whisper with secrets.
Can you hear it?

Our winds sing a tragic song,
Our music talks of happy days,
Our mountains tops touch our sky
Rivers that’s never runs dry.

Our dance, rejoice the past
The future, our present
Our rivers flow with life
Our pulse beats strongly.

Listen to your people
Voices sing in union
My country, beautiful
Different in every way

Diversity lets unite once again
Our vision has faded
Nobody is looking
Selfish we have become.

I have learned to love freely
To hate with passion
My Country and I
We have grown.
