Politickin

I slammed the door of quaint existence
catching mediocrity's big toe in
the wrath
busted two-cents skepticism
in the mouth
with some streetsmartghettoism
and wisdom
as I departed
charted waters
for a mindset with no borders
on my way round
the get down
I paid my respects
to dialect architects
who erected what was rejected
by the mainstream
ran conservative dribble off the cliff
till it careened with stiff
opposition and surburanites politickin'
bout dis n dat
as they sat their mass asses
with free passes to the best man
where they clapped profusely
everytime Q said Bitch or booty
but still talk me down
when I work my way round
to the get down
as I work my way round
to the get down
down,
down,
down
