Supplication! 
not having to take a life
to earn the next meal
with some not as lucky, 
the robber, fighter, hangman, done 
often in the line of duty
blood is shed,
for meals, peace, security, to heal
someone’s family gone
as loved ones inflict,
cemeteries held in memory 
as you alone hold the key
and your actions can
embed harmony on earth.
