Woman In Me

by T.M.

The Woman in me
Yearns to shed
The girl-like image
Everyone would rather see.
The woman in me
Needs strength that will endure,
Yet the girl in me needs the love & laughter
That helps the woman in me to
Take things Eas-Z.
The woman in me
Wants few things,
Yet when she can't obtain, can't grasp,
Can't even come within an inch of her desires,
The girl in me cries, "Why?"
The woman in me
Has many qualities of good in her
And so does the girl,
But the girl in me has grown,
Over the years into a woman,
And the woman in me still wants to know,
"When will you see..."
"Me?"
