Subdue Me

by T.M.

Subdue me, Mother Earth
Subdue me, Yahweh
Subdue me,
From myself,
From the horror of living
Life like a ghost
In passing
Unknown to the world,
Unknown to myself,
Unknown.
If truth be told,
Frailty is thy name (Hamlet),
Along with ignorance,
Ignorance to the things life`s lessons
Has revealed tenfold to others.
Wait, and my loneliness will cease.
Wait, and I will have true love,
Deeper than any oceans or seas.
Wait, and I will find the true meaning of life.
Wait, and no longer will I have meaningless strife.
And the longer I wait,
The more I know these things will never be....
Because I still remain
An Unknown
In this ever-changing world....
