a white girl cries
why can't I
a black girl's fears
bring forth tears
a white man on dope
my concern - nope
a black heart aches
I can relate

a white life is taken
my heart's not breaking
black wounds heal
that I can feel
a white dies - so I hear
can't bring myself to care
a black lives in misery
it could have been me

a white lives in pain
but mines not the same
a black owns a rolls royce
my heart will rejoice
a white girls woes
I do not know
a black girl sees
through eyes like me

a black lady finds
feelings of mine

when I make choices
it affects all black voices

a white girl cries
why can't I
