I am a Love Poet (I am a Messenger of Love)
I am the dark slave for whom the willow weeps
I am the bronze warrior who has passed through hell and into eternity
I am the crux of your burning passions of desire
I am that steaming drop of water in the midst of a funeral pyre
I am the sailor who knew the grace of the sea
I am the captive bluebird longing to be free
I am the chameleon; being for all seasons
I am the agony and ectasy of your reasons
I am the void that fills the vacuum of your soul
I am the lowly wretched being longing to be whole
I am the unknown soldier buried in an unmarked grave
I am the ruins of the cities; all that's left of the life he gave
I am the voice that shouted hallelujah in the middle of the night
I am the tears of a broken man who could not cope with pain and strife
I am the neeedle that pierced a vein so very young
I am the morning after which did not come
Where lies love, lies also death
I am a love poet; I am a messenger of love
