What is Black?
Black is no longer just a color
It is who I am 
What I eat 
and
How I speak
Black defines my walk
My thick thighs
And the power behind my dark eyes
Black is all about a movement
A movement that set back time
Gave me rights
Made it safe to call Black mine
Black is a way of life
That gave me flight 
And helped me stand up for the fight
Black is who I am 
Who you are
Who everyone wants to be
Black is beauty
And I'm glad that that beauty is in me
