Tahanee Roberts is a 26 year-old Black American female who resides in Arlington, VA. The oldest of four girls, she started writing poetry ten years ago. She says, "I always had a passion for Literature but I didn’t know I had the gift of writing until the death of my cousin. A month after her death I sat down and poured my heart onto a piece of paper and created my first poem titled, 'Shony,' which happens to be my cousin’s first name. We all have a purpose and mission to complete while on this earth and I know that my purpose is to write. I am grateful that the Lord has given me the confidence, the passion and the ability to share my talent with the world."
