I woke up this morning
with a smile
on my face,
without
a single ache
in my soul.
Today
I am blessed.

The sun is shinin' bright,
not a dark cloud in sight.
I see a rainbow
eventhough
it hasn't rained.
Today
is a beautiful day.

I'm going out today
dressed in my best
Sunday clothes.
My high hill shoes
and my fancy hat.
Today
is a special day

I say

to give thanks;

to praise the Lord.
