Mirror Mirror

Mirror Mirror, what do you see?
Some troubled black girl looking right at me
Her eyes are as black as the night
and her skin is as smooth as butter on toast partly light
Her hair is dark and twisted like a roll of thread,
she looks a bit sideways from the turn of her head.
Her heart is pounding thru her vest
and the bags under eyes are signs she hasn't got much rest.
It's trouble in her frown she seems a bit down,
have this life put you down?
Down is not a question.
Questions remain unanswered.
Unanswered prayers is what I received.
Received love in this world is too much like right.
Right now I need answers to help me thru this thing called life.
If I go left, life goes right.
If I go in, life comes out.
I've fought these sins time and time again,
when will they ever end?
Mirror Mirror, what do you see?
Beauty is what you have. Have faith in yourself.
Yourself is where love begin.
Begin to love yourself and you will always have a friend.
