Silent Eyes Are Falling

by Stacy King

Nights like this,
I wish rain drops would fall,
Just let it rain, let it rain,
Your essence can fade them all.

You sparkle once,
Twinkle twice,
The way you look at me,
Makes me feel cold as ice.

I stand out gazing at a reflection,
The wind blowing a rhythmic sound,
I lie back with my mind at peace,
Not feeling the effects of fallen ground.

My body returns to reality,
With a smile that mean happiness,
For I was only thinking of you,
Which puts me back to rest.

I will find you again someday,
Your voice will come calling,
But I have to remember one thing,
My Silent Eyes Are Falling.
