The Puzzle of Christmas

by Samuel Black

Look, a star shining in the East
It must mean something, because it's so bright.
Look at the people playing music, it’s almost like mass
It must mean something, because it's so peaceful.
Look, it's snowing and it's so pretty
It must mean something, because it's so soft and fluffy.
Look, there is a snowman on the lawn
It must mean something, because it has a red nose.
Look, there is a tall green tree with lights
It must mean something, because it's almost like a pyramid.
Look, there is a wreath on the door
It must mean something, because it's so green and round.
Look, there are reindeer in the sky
It must mean something, because they are pulling a sled.
Look, the people are carrying little boxes and candles
It must mean something, because they are wrapped in pretty paper.
Look, there is a fat guy with a red suit and long beard on the roof
It must mean something, because he is singing ho, ho, ho.
Look, there is a scene with a baby and a stable on the lawn
It must mean something, because the people are praying.
Oh, I know what the meaning is, it's Christmas.
Wow! I like this, and where is the flavored eggnog?
