Remember Others - - Willie

by Samuel Black

Now Willie, as you exceed and break the limit in speed
Remember Willie, there is a tracking radar at your heel
The cost of compliance to the law your cash will peel
Willie, I’d rather take my wife up town for a great meal

Now Willie, as the rage boils within you racing down the road
Remember Willie, the matador stands before the bull in a roar
Red flag in hand while rage is steaming and kicking more
Willie, I’d rather not face the other hand like a helpless boar

Now Willie, as you flip the bird while passing others
Especially drivers Willie trying to get your attention
Remember the peace of the dove and purification
The beauty of the Flamingos and their habitation

Now Willie, as you cut in and out of moving traffic
Without any regard for Sister Lula Bell driving alone
Remember Willie, the surgeon who is not accident prone
Who carefully cuts in and out with a heart not like stone

And Willie, as you negotiate the turn at the next corner
Remember Willie, do it right the first time not as a hater
There may never be a second chance to do it again later
Willie, doing it right protects others and may be even safer
