I’m shedding my pounds of my useless sins

Steppin’ out of anger accepting this new joy that’s within

Within my soul that used to be so incomplete

I’ve submitted myself humbly as I kneel down at his feet

I have this adoration for Christ’s salvation

No contemplation of which direction should I go

He’s proved his love and granted me with mercy that will forever flow

So what profits a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul?

See he didn’t terminate me, exterminate me, eliminate me nor desert me-- in spite of all my wrong doing

Christ saved me and raised me, never played me and gave me a new life worth pursuing

He healed me and filled me, I rejected him yet he still loved me- never concealed his worship from me

OH! My brothers and sisters--come sup with me and partake in these words of inspiration

For this Christian walk is going to be hard-so be strong-don’t give in to the devil’s temptation

No more New Year’s resolutions of when I will to chose to let God take control of my mess

See why would I want to hold myself back and not reap my blessings of harvest?

The Lord has a plan for my direction-although I’m short of perfection

I’m getting self out of the way--for no more further delays

For when the praises go up….bad baggage goes away!

I’m letting Christ be my guide, my leader, and chauffeur-- I’ll never mumble another faithless word

Never be deterred and deferred--his written word I have not misheard

For I thank him and praise him--honor him and worship him…for I have been DELIVERED!
